Old Fashioned Lemonade Recipe

The sun is shining, flowers are blooming and the days are longer- all sure signs that summer is just about here!

And a summer staple- LEMONADE!

Lemonade is a beloved summer staple for many families.

But instead of buying store bought lemonade- why not make your own?

It’s easier than you might think!

All you will need is:

  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 6 Cups of Cold Water

Directions

First- juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice from them. TIP: Firmly roll the lemons between your hand and your countertop before cutting in 1/2 and juicing them

Then- in a gallon pitcher- combine 1 cup of your freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 cup of sugar and 6 cups of cold water.

Stir.

You may need to adjust the water depending on how strong you want the lemon flavoring. You can even add more lemon juice also for more tang!

You can even add some lemon slices to the lemonade or some mint leaves!

Chill and serve over ice…

AND…

ENJOY!
